PinPop — Arcade Game for Apple Watch

Effective date: 31 July 2026 · Last updated: 31 July 2026

PinPop is a timing game for Apple Watch. It has no accounts, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. The only information it sends anywhere is what you choose to submit to the global leaderboard.

This policy explains what is collected, why, where it goes, and how to have it removed. It applies to the PinPop app on watchOS and its companion iPhone app.

Who is responsible for your data

PinPop is published by an independent developer trading as PeakLogic. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, the developer is the data controller. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.

What the app collects

If you submit a score to the leaderboard

Submitting a score is optional. You can play the entire game without ever doing it. If you do submit, the following is stored:

DataDescriptionWhy
Display name A short name you type yourself. You choose it and it does not have to be your real name. To show who set the score
Score The number of levels reached in a run To rank entries
Country A two-letter country code only. No city, no precise location, no GPS. To show a country flag and allow regional filtering
Timestamp When the score was submitted To order entries and expire stale ones
Device identifier A random identifier generated for your installation To let you update your own entry rather than creating duplicates, and to block automated cheating
The device identifier is not your Apple ID, phone number, email address, or advertising identifier. It is a value generated locally by the app and is not linked to your identity.

If you do not submit a score

Nothing leaves your watch. Your high scores, settings, and progress are stored locally on the device and are removed when you delete the app.

Information handled by Apple, not by us

When you buy PinPop, Apple processes the payment. We receive anonymised sales and download totals through App Store Connect — we never see your name, email address, or payment details. If you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with developers, Apple may also provide anonymised crash reports. This information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

What the app does not do

Where your data is stored

Leaderboard entries are stored using Google Cloud Firestore, part of Firebase, operated by Google LLC. Data is held on servers in the United States. Google acts as our data processor and is bound by the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

If you are in the UK, EEA, or Switzerland, this means your data is transferred outside your region. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which Google incorporates into the addendum above.

Legal basis for processing

Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, we rely on:

How long it is kept

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure, which is protected by Google's platform security. Access to the leaderboard database is restricted to the developer. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, or withdraw consent. If you are in California, you also have the right to know what is collected and to request deletion; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

How to delete your leaderboard entry

Email the address below with the display name shown on the leaderboard and roughly when you submitted it. Your entry will be removed within 30 days. You do not need to give any other information, and there is no charge.

You can also stop all future collection at any time by not submitting scores, or by deleting the app.

If you are in the UK or EEA and are unhappy with how a request was handled, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

PinPop is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children and it is not part of the App Store Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The only field a player can type is a display name. Please choose a nickname rather than a real name, and do not enter email addresses, phone numbers, or anything else that identifies you — the leaderboard is public. Display names are filtered, and any entry that appears to contain personal information about a child will be deleted. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and it will be removed.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the app changes. The effective date at the top will be revised, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
